11/19/2007 Entry: "Used Book Sale"

Lady Evelyn School Council, along with the teachers and staff, is organizing a used books' sale to collect funds for the Child Haven International Orphanage in Nepal. The book sale will be held at Lady Evelyn School on the aftenoon and evening of December 6th and the morning of December 7th during parent/teacher sessions.

If you have any used books that you would like to donate for the book sale, please drop them off at the front entrance of Lady Evelyn School in the designated box.

On December 6th and 7th, parents and students will be able to purchase used books at a nominal price and the proceeds of the sale will go to support the construction and development of a library at the Child Haven Orphanage in Nepal (http://www.childhaven.ca/). Parents will also have an opportunity on these days to purchase fair trade crafts from Nepal. This event is a great opportunity to recycle used books for a worthy cause and do a little holiday shopping at the same time!

For more information on the book and fair trade craft sale, please contact Narissa Somji at (613)730-6955. Volunteers are needed to assist with these events.
