08/25/2006 Archived Entry: "Board Budget Information Rally on August 28th"
The Ottawa Carleton District School Board trustees are debating how to address the more than $32 million deficit they are facing. Since the funding announcements came after many commitments had already been made, it appears that severe cuts in support staff services are imminent.
An information rally, sponsored by OCASC, will take place at the Board office at 133 Greenbank Road on Monday, August 28, 2006 at 5:00 pm. The final budget meeting will take place at 6:30 pm, with a board meeting to approve budget directly afterwards.
Please Note: The start time has been changed to 5:00 to co-incide with the change in start time for the budget meeting...
Marshalls will be directing traffic to park in the parking lot at Sir Robert Borden High School. OCASC encourages carpooling wherever possible.
OCASC is the Ottawa Carleton Assembly of School Councils, of which Lady Evelyn School Council is a Member.
