Neighbourhood litter cleanup Saturday May 12, 10 AM – 1PM [Meet outside at Lady Evelyn]
A group of volunteers is joining the city-wide community cleanup effort. We will meet at 10 AM on Saturday May 12 outside in front of Lady Evelyn school. From there we will fan out in search of litter to be picked up and properly disposed of. We are hoping to get enough volunteers to cover the community as well as Springhurst Park and the Rideau River shoreline. We will have garbage bags and gloves, but if you can bring your own, that is great too! Please join us, rain or shine.
If you do not live in the Lady Evelyn neighbourhood, there are other cleanup efforts being organized by the Urban Rideau Conservationists and others. The locations below are meeting at 10AM on Saturday May 12. Wear appropriate clothing for mucky work, as there will be shoreline cleanup to be done!
- Ottawa Tennis and Lawn Bowling Club at 176 Cameron Ave. (next to Brewer Park)
- Brantwood Park Field House
- New Edinburgh Field House at 193 Stanley Ave
