Dear parents and/or guardians,

A small group of children in grades 1 to 6 have attended meetings during recess and snack times to organize a video being made about the alternative program in Lady Evelyn.

We will be filming a normal day in the school of Lady Evelyn. We want to show the video to people who are curious about Lady Evelyn and the program.

The children are making the video to help publicize the alternative program. We envision a short video that can be shown to:

*families who are interested in sending their children to the school

*families and staff at other Ottawa schools (who might be interested in using some of the ideas that we have put into practice)

*school board staff and trustees (to allow them to better understand the program and how Lady Evelyn specifically operates)

*the public in general (to promote awareness of the program)

The children (there are about 20 of them) need some help to make this a reality.

1) We need the loan of a few digital video cameras for about a week (within the next couple of weeks). The children will be using the video cameras, but always under adult supervision. We also use need at least one or two more parents to come in and help with this.

2) The children would very much appreciate direction and assistance in editing and compiling the final product. Anyone with experience in this area is encouraged to help with this.
