One of the core aspects of alternative education is parental involvement.

This year we are trying a different approach to organizing parent volunteers. We will have a parent in each class, a class volunteer coordinator, who will convey requests for volunteers to the other parents in that class (whether by email, phone tree, etc). We will try to organize things ahead of time so that such requests come about once a month.

Parents are strongly encouraged to commit to a minimum of two hours of volunteer time per month.
